CMN Spreads Holiday Cheer with Help from Santa
Children’s Miracle Network at Regional Health spread some holiday cheer with a little help from the big man himself.
On December 17th, 2019 Santa took some time off from the Christmas preparations at the North Pole to bring a little magic to children in the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Regional Health.
“These kids are just so brave. Their parents are too. But they just need to know that somebody loves them. And that’s what Santa’s about,” says Santa Claus.
With the help of Children’s Miracle Network and some undercover elves, Santa was able to hand deliver gifts to the ill and injured children spending part of their holiday season in the hospital. [Click HERE to see a photo album of Santa’s visit.]
“I think it’s magical for them because they are here. The kids think that Santa isn’t going to find them. So the fact that Santa comes and brings them a gift and talks to them. They feel special and they feel that Christmas magic even if they have to be here,” says Registered Nurse Sheila McKinstery.
